JR Robinson; Doctoral Student in Clinical Psychology

Jamese Robinson, who goes by J.R. (she/they), is a clinical psychology practicum student. They are currently pursuing their Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University, with a concentration in Social Justice and Diversity. They bring over a decade of experience providing direct crisis intervention and suicide prevention support through national hotlines, inpatient care, and community-based programs. JR's background includes supporting survivors of sexual violence within the Department of Defense community and counseling LGBTQIA+ youth ages 13–24 through specialized crisis services. They are passionate about working with marginalized and LGBTQ+ populations, as well as anyone who has taken the courageous first step toward seeking mental health care. JR strives to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel fully seen and supported. Their approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and relational, focusing on building trust, honoring each client’s lived experience, and helping them develop tools for healing and resilience.
